Peaceful Transitions In-Home Pet Euthanasia
Available for Long Island, NY
Welcome to my compassionate in-home euthanasia service, where I understand that making the choice for humane euthanasia is one of the most difficult decisions you will ever have to face. My mission is to make this time as comfortable and as peaceful as I can for both you and your beloved pet. I will help you provide the dignified farewell that your cherished friend deserves, all within the familiar and comforting surroundings of your home. With the utmost respect for your pet’s comfort and your emotional needs, I am here to guide you through this difficult journey with empathy, understanding, and unwavering support. I believe that every pet deserves a gentle goodbye surrounded by love, and I am honored to be the one to offer this specialized care during this profound moment of transition.
I’m Dr. Lynda Loudon, and I have been offering in-home pet euthanasia services for more than 20 years. Through my years of experience in guiding pet guardians through this delicate process, I have gained profound insights into the emotional depth and bond that exists between humans and their animal companions. I have also fine tuned this procedure to be as efficient, painless and comfortable as possible.
I have deep respect for those guardians that prioritize their beloved pet’s comfort by choosing to have the euthanasia performed in their homes. And, having suffered through pet loss many times myself, I have a profound understanding of the heartbreak that comes with loosing them. It is this profound understanding that allows me to connect and be fully present for my clients every time.
Preparing for In-Home Euthanasia
I am here to handle everything from making your pet comfortable to handling aftercare. You may consider having your pet lay on comfortable bedding, surrounded with their favorite toys and treats. If your pet prefers outdoors then we can also make that happen. You can read my blog on Navigating the Farewell Before Euthanasia here.
The Process: When I first arrive, I will administer a calming sedative that will put your pet in a state of relaxation. Then, when you and your family are ready, I will gently administer an anesthetic intravascularly to further sedate your pet. Once it is clear that your pet is in a deep sleep state, I will administer the euthanasia injection. This process is handled with the utmost care—it is quick and painless for your pet. Afterwards, I allow you time alone with your pet before I gently and respectfully prepare your pet for the final journey with me.
A beautiful ink paw print and nose print are included in every euthanasia at no additional cost.

Testimonials
Dr. Loudon came to our home to help transition our sweet boy Monte. Dr. Loudon’s calm and confident composure gave us the peace of mind we needed at this very difficult time, she helped out remaining dog, Mac, stay calm and gave him a chance to say a final goodbye to his best bud after his passing. I wish that all pet parents could have the calm and peaceful transition experience that we did. Kathryn Musorrafiti
